Choosing the Right Fabric for Your Practice

Not every fabric belongs in every session. Here's how we think about weight, stretch and recovery — and which Bloom pieces suit which kind of movement.

Compression vs. comfort

A dense, four-way-stretch knit holds the muscle and stays opaque through deep flexion — what you want for reformer work, weights and anything with a squat in it. A lighter jersey breathes better and moves more freely, which suits walking, travel and low-intensity days.

Why recovery matters more than stretch

Stretch is easy. Recovery — the fabric's ability to snap back to its original shape after being pulled — is what separates a legging that lasts two years from one that bags at the knee after a month.
